Spotlight On Powys Hypnosis - A Member Of The Business Club
Tuesday, September 28

Phil Collins, hypnotherapist, proprietor of Powys Hypnosis moved to Powys six years ago in which time his hypnotherapy practice has become very well known through word of mouth.
As a hypnotherapist he helps people with all types of problems but he says that he specialises in helping clients with anxiety, stress, depression, low self confidence and low self esteem. He also says that he gets many clients who come for help to lose weight and an array of other problems.

Phil took redundancy from the RAF in 1996 having spent 20 years as an electronics engineer. Prior to leaving the RAF he took a degree in psychology with the Open University and a certificate in counseling at Shrewsbury College.
After leaving the RAF he got a job helping people with an alcohol addiction and spent some time working in a drug and alcohol rehabilitation centre, he continued with his studies gaining a Post Graduate Diploma in counseling from Keele University.
Six years ago he took a diploma in hypnotherapy and now uses all his skills to help people.

"I love my job, I don’t call it work as it’s wonderful to see people change after only a few sessions of hypnotherapy. Counselling is effective, however, I’ve found that hypnotherapy is much quicker and clients really enjoy the experience," he said.

He says that many people are afraid of hypnosis as they perceive it to be like what they see on TV or stage where people are made to look foolish running around like headless chickens.
Phil says that hypnotherapy is nothing like this, in fact, all hypnotherapy is is a relaxed state of mind. The client is not asleep and they will be aware of everything around them during a session of hypnosis.

Phil has helped many many people as the testimonials confirm on his web site (http://www.powyshypnosis.com/testimonials.html).  He says that most problems can be resolved on average with 3 to 5 sessions.

His training has put him in the top 1% of all hypnotherapist’s. He also teaches others how to become hypnotherapist’s on his Diploma course which is validated by the General Hypnotherapy Standards Council (http://www.powyshypnosis.com/training.html).
He also runs one day taster days where you can learn how to hypnotise people, if you are interested in going along or if you would like to book an appointment to see him, you can contact him via his website
www.powyshypnosis.com or phone him on 01686 650632.

Business Club enjoys a highly successful start
October 12, 2009

The Robins Business Club got off to a highly successful launch last Thursday. Twenty people from a wide variety of trades and professions attended the inaugural meeting at the newly named Latham Centre based at Newtown Football Club. Although it is still very early days, Jonathan Martin was clearly delighted by the encouraging start which exceeded his expectations.

"Jonathan is running this new venture on the club's behalf, with the aim of forging stronger links between the local business community and the club," said chairman Mike Jones (pictured).
"I think the club is now fully aware that we are running not just a football club but a business as well. If we can tap into the experience and knowledge of the Robins Business Club it will bring undoubted benefits to all parts of the club.

"Whilst recognising that the club needed the assistance of the business community, I told the meeting that Newtown FC offered tremendous opportunities to individuals to get involved in something that is both challenging and highly enjoyable. "Thanks to the club I have travelled to Latvia and Poland in the heady days of European qualification. I had the chance in 2002 to re-start the Vice Presidents Club and now to become part of a team that is striving to be amongst the best in Wales. I think we all gain something from our involvement in the club."

New member Nigel Kennedy of Insurance Brokers Rees Astley Ltd has agreed to sponsor the Welshpool game on October 24. He has also invited all Robins Business Club members to join his sponsorship party.

"Following the successful launch, the party were shown around the new media room by Richard Bonfield and I have no doubt everyone was impressed by all the facilities available at The Latham Centre," said the chairman. "Our aim now is to market ourselves as THE place to go for conferences, business meetings, conferences, dinners, parties and entertainment."

The next meeting of The Robins Club is planned for November 12th, 2009 at 8am.
