Bangor City are visitors this week

Chris Hughes' Robins go into action this weekend hoping for better weather than they have encountered on the road over the past two weeks. They welcome Bangor City, but will have to face them with several injuries still affecting team selection. Following last weekend's game, suspensions now also feature strongly in the Manager's considerations when picking his squad.

kershaw_dismissalRyan Kershaw is suspended following a build-up of five cautions, but he was also sent off for a rash tackle in last week's encounter with Llandudno and as a result is now out for a total of four games, including the important League Cup semi-final at Cardiff Met on 15th November.

Jay Denny is added to the suspension list as he also misses the Carmarthen game next week after getting a fifth caution.

Injuries see Tom Goodwin still recovering grom a groin strain, Jamie Pryce has an injured ankle and Jamie Reed has a knee strain. Pleasingly, Ryan Sears made a quick return from a shoulder injury to feature last week and it is hoped that he will return to action to partner Kieren Mills-Evans at Centre half.

A lack of League goals has been an obvious problem for the Robins, just two goals and two league points coming from the last six games. Manager, Chris Hughes said., "The performances in the last two games has been OK on the whole, so the message to the players is stick together and results will turn."

Newtown remain in 10th place, but with Aberystwyth winning last weekend, they are now equal on points with us, but are 6 goals adrift in the first relegation spot of 11th position. Whilst our targeted position of 6th is beginning to look unlikely, three points would make a whole heap of difference and could lift us two places.

Our visitors, Bangor City have lost their last three games against Cefn Druids, Prestatyn and Cardiff Met so come to us as keen to gather points as Newtown will be. The last time the two teams met was in the play-off semi-final at the end of last season where Newtown were unlucky to lose 3-2.

Come down to Griffiths Construction Latham Park and cheer The Robins onto victory. KO is at 2.30pm.
