As chairman of NewtownAFC I was highly delighted with the squad of players and what they achieved this season,I think looking back on the season to finish in the top six of fixtures in the first phase of fixtures was a major achievement, especially when you look at TNS and Connahs Quay Nomads, who really should be in the top six with their resources . It means there are only four places left for the remaining ten clubs to get into the all important top six in the first phase of fixtures.

I think there where three disappointments this season where the players didn’t quite perform to their usual high standards . One being Cambrian Clydach in the league cup , Rhyl, in the Welsh cup and finally the play off semi final against Bala Town. I’ll finish by thanking our manger Chris Hughes, for the hard work he has put into this season and previous seasons to bring the club to where it is today along with his assistant Callum McKenzie, first team coach Gavin Cadwallader,Goal keeping coach Andy Roberts and finally first team physio Andy pillow aided by Anna Owen 19s physio,it’s these people that put in hours of time to make this club so special for myself to be chairman

Many thanks.
