- The Robins were sure to face a tougher test than their opening friendly, with Denbigh looking dangerous in the opening minutes.
A shot went astray, before Walker beat the goalkeeper with a chip but it sailed wide.
However with their first attack the Robins got their noses in front.
A flowing move saw JoJo Harries find Callum Roberts who in turn found Nick Rushton.
He pulled a cross back to Ethan Jones to lash home left footed for his first goal of pre-season.
Rushton glanced a header wide soon after, with the Robins getting a lot of joy down the left side.
On the quarter hour Jones should have made it two but somehow he managed to fire over from a Roberts cross, when just five yards out.
Within a minute though Jones had his second, capitalising on a defensive mishap to slot home.
Denbigh managed to settle and almost got back into the game, however Jack Perry was equal to a long range Bailey Jackson effort.
Perry then made another routine stop, but he could do nothing to keep out Sam Jones’ cool chip on the half hour mark.
A through ball split the Robins defence, and Jones chipped the ball over Perry.
However the Robins struck twice before the break to extend the lead.
First Luke Boundford fired home from a narrow angle, before Jones found the net to complete his hat-trick.
The Robins missed countless chances at the start of the second period, before Joe Kenton made it five.
He cut in from the right before firing beyond Vernon and into the corner.
The Robins carried on coming forward in their droves, with Kenton twice going close to a second.
Denbigh saw a few speculative efforts fly over the bar, but they couldn’t find a way to unlock the Robins back line.
