INTERVIEW: COWANS ON A MISSION

MIDFIELDER Henry Cowans is focussed on the task in hand this evening as we head to Caernarfon Town (kick-off 7.45pm).

The League season started with defeat last weekend, but Cowans is determined to put things right tonight.

“Obviously it wasn’t the way that we wanted to start the season,” he admitted, “But we have taken the positives from the game and we will learn from our mistakes.

“There’s still a long way to go, so although disappointing, we have plenty of opportunities to put things right, starting this evening.

“Our hosts got off to a really strong start last weekend, but that doesn’t change our plans or the way in which we will approach the game.

“It’ll be a tough test but we go there determined to get our first win of the season.”

The 27 year-old former Aston Villa youngster went on to reveal his personal ambitions for the campaign ahead.

“I want to be able to contribute in terms of performance week in, week out,” he added. “It’s always nice to score or assist, so if I can add a few of those, it will be a bonus.

“As a team we know what we want to achieve and we will all work hard in our quest to achieve our goals.”
