JONES & RUSHTON DEPART LATHAM PARK

We can confirm that Dave Jones and Nick Rushton will leave Latham Park this summer.

Dave returned the the club in the summer of 2014 and has made over 300 appearances for the club over two stints.  Dave has also been a key member of the squads which have qualified for Europe on three separate occasions over the past 8 seasons, making 10 appearances in the process.

Nick permanently re-signed for the club after a successful loan period from Connahs Quay in the summer of 2017.  Nick has made over 200 appearances for the football club, scoring 70 goals which makes him the clubs second highest scorer since the formation of the Cymru Premier League (League of Wales).

“Nick and Dave have been brilliant for me in my time at the football club and I can’t thank them enough for what they have given to the football club in recent years, they’re obviously very good players but more importantly very good characters.  I would like to wish them the best of luck with what they do next”     Chris Hughes, Newtown AFC Manager.

Both players have made a huge contribution in what has been a successful period in the clubs history.  Dave and Nick leave with our best wishes and will always be welcome back at Latham Park.
