The Robins have completed the signing of experienced football league midfielder Steve Leslie.

The 30 year old Scottish born midfielder predominantly plays on the left side, and has been training with the Robins in pre-season.

He came through the youth system at Shrewsbury Town and went on to play 100 times in the football league.

He then enjoyed a non-league career, and manager Chris Hughes was delighted to secure another quality signing.

He said: “This window we’ve managed to bring in experienced and quality players, and Steve will only add to that.

“Having that many football league and non league appearances under his belt shows the quality he has.

“He will add to what we already have, and his experience is going to be a big plus for us.”

He scored seven goals in 103 outings for Shrewsbury in a six year spell, before departing in 2012.

He had two short loan spells at Hereford United, before stints with Wrexham and AFC Telford United.

He then enjoyed spells in non league with Worcester, Rushall Olympic, Solihull Moors and Corby Town.
