Roberts signed for the club in June 2018, after a successful loan spell.

A former Shrewsbury Town youth, he was loaned to Newtown in January 2018 after spending the first half of the season with TNS.

He played 11 times, before Shrews released him and he joined the Robins on a permanent deal.
