Returned back to Newtown after a season at Airbus in the summer of 2020. Hughes joined the Robins on loan from Shrewsbury Town in 2018. He was the captain of the Under-18s, before signing his first professional deal in 2017. He Hughes spent a total of 12 years with Shrewsbury Town. George will also join the Robins Academy as Skills Coach as well as running his own coaching company.
