PREVIEW | THE SECRET OF OUR SUCCESS
With five straight wins during the month of September, The Robins will be looking to complete the month with a 100% record on Saturday when we host Bala Town on Saturday (kick-off 2.30pm).
One player who is gutted to have to sit it out is Callum Roberts, who will be suspended, but we asked him what has been the secret of our recent success.
“We’re doing the basics really well,” he replied. “We’ve simplified everything; the toughest thing to do is to keep it going but we will try our very best and approach each game focused.
“I’m happy with how we’ve started and how I’ve started the season on a personal level. I feel as though my confidence has grown with each game and I’ve settled into the new system well.
“I’m really frustrated and gutted to be missing the game on Saturday but I look forward to cheering the lads on and hopefully getting another positive result.”
We go into the game on the back of a hard-earned 1-0 triumph at Pontypridd United on Tuesday.
“It was a really impressive win,” added Roberts. “The game was really tight; at the moment we aren’t giving anything away and we’ve got really good players at the top end of the pitch who will always score goals, so it’s a really good mix
“We need to keep our standards high every game. With Bala’s defeat on Wednesday I’m sure they’ll be really keen to put things right so we’ve got to be wary of that.
“As long as we focus on what’s been getting us results and continue to do it, we’ve got a great chance of another three points.
“I’ll certainly be cheering the lads on all the way and hopefully our fans will join me!”
