ROB PAGE WELCOMED TO LATHAM PARK

As excitement mounts for the Euro 2024 play-off matches, Rob Page, the manager of the Cymru national football team, to some time away from team preparations to host a charity event in aid of the Urdd National Eisteddfod at Newtown AFC.

This unique occasion, hosted by Menter Iaith Maldwyn and the Newtown Appeal Committee assured an enjoyable evening full of laughs, stories and experiences, withall funds raised supporting the local fundraising goal. The Urdd National Eisteddfod, Europe’s largest touring youth festival, is scheduled to come to Maldwyn/Montgomeryshire in 2024, making a comeback to the area after being absent since 1988.

The event saw Page joined by former Match of the Day commentator and the current Head of Public Relations at the Cymru Football Association, Ian Gwyn Hughes. The program for the event comprised an interview segment with Rob discussing his tenure as the Cymru Manager, a bilingual football quiz during halftime, and an open Q&A session in the second half, allowing fans to ask their questions.
