Ryan Sears received the Simon Brennan Memorial Plaque after being voted Newtown AFC’s Supporters’ Player of the Season.
The 25-year-old collected the accolade following our final home league game of the season; a 5-0 victory over Caernarfon Town this weekend.
The Newtown AFC Vice President’s club, along with former chairmen, managers and players of the club were in attendance for the game and ceremony, along with supporters and partners in celebrating Ryan’s highlights of the current campaign.
Sears scooped the award on the back of a stellar season in the Red of Newtown, making a 94% appearance rate in the 23/24 season.
The Welshman recorded 5 goals and 4 assists in 29 appearances, along with a call up to feature in Cymru C’s 1-0 victory over England C back in March.
Sears’ form this season earned him well-deserved recognition from the club’s supporters on Saturday.
