Defender Callum Roberts has been selected in the Wales C squad ahead of their international fixture against England C.
Wales take on England later this month on March 19th where the match will take place at the Penisula Stadium in Salford.
It is the very first time that Roberts has been included in the Wales squad.
The 20-year-old has made a big impact for the Robins this season by helping the reds make the top 6 of the Welsh Premier League table which was achieved back in January.
Roberts also won the club’s 2018 Goal of the Year award for his strike versus Llandudno FC (3-1) back in December.

Roberts spoke to the club website just hours after receiving the good news: “It was a proud feeling when I received the phone call to say I’ve been selected. It was an aim of mine before the season began so its a great feeling to have it.
“It’s no secret the rivalry between the two nations (Wales and England) so I’m sure every Welsh player will be desperate to beat England on the night.
We asked Roberts to share any word of advise for the future generations at Newtown AFC and for those outside the club wanting a career in football, he said: “I’d say keep going even when times are tough.”
Well said Callum and the club wishes him the best of luck with Wales later on this month.
